LibreOffice - the first year of the second phase of this project
LibreOffice started October 2010 as a fork of OpenOffice.org. The fork was not the goal: it was the start of the long time awaited independent foundation driving the growth of the office-suite and giving room for the broader community. That has been given the name The Document Foundation.
So ... what value was brought the past year for users, organisations, developers, contributors by LibreOffice and what is on the road map?
Cor Nouws is one of the founding members of The Document Foundation, was a long time contributor to the OpenOffice.org project, previous member of its community council, and director of the Dutch firm Nou&Off, which is specialised in solutions with OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice.
